This will be Shawns third time competing at the UCC but his first time as a UCC Competitor not as a Qualifier. Shawns truck is a 2006 Ford F-250 6.0 powerstroke reg cab. As of right now the set up is still up in the air, but it will be front mount compound turbos with large hybrid injectors. They have big plans and are shooting for 2000 hp this year.
Shawn and his team come from the sled pulling side of diesel events with a little bit of drag racing here and there. They have been able to take home several local pulling events wins, and placing 5th overall last year in the UCC Qualifier show they have what it takes to compete.
Shawn team has joined forces this year with a couple new sponsors. They have been working very closely with Warren Diesel. Travis said they have been a huge part of their team this year with their set up, and it wouldn’t be possible without them. Along with BD Diesel helping out in a huge way. They couldn’t be happier to be running many of their great products. Plus they have had huge help from R&E Tires from Frankford providing us with parts, tires and transportation.
When asked why he wanted to compete in the UCC Travis said.”I’ve always had a passion for racing ever since I was a kid. I started racing dirt bikes. Then I got into racing snocross (snowmobiles). I raced pro for a few years. Now competing in diesel events has my main focus. My goal is to set new records for the 6.0 powerstroke and Ford platform this coming year.”
