Trevor Peterson, better known as T-Pain has been fiddling with diesels since he was a kid. Peterson started off with a 2002 Dodge Ram Cummins trying to have fun and build power. Like every other diesel story, he wanted to go faster and build more power. Since then he has owned several diesel trucks, but after he sold his 1,200 HP Duramax he tried to back away from the diesel scene. Shortly after, he saw “T-Pain” up for sale and decided to give the diesel industry another chance. His diesel friends, buddies and sponsors have stood by his side this last year helping him with time, parts and knowledge to build “T-Pain” to what it is today.
Peterson wow’d the crowd with his blue 2006 Dodge Ram “T-Pain” truck grabbing 2nd place overall in the UCC Qualifier bracket at the Ultimate Callout Challenge in 2018. Peterson was able to make it down the ¼ mile drag strip in 10.062 seconds, only .133 seconds away from taking 6th place for that portion of the event. T-Pain threw up the most horsepower out of all the UCC Qualifiers making 2,109.5 HP on the dyno, only 268.7 HP away from 2018 UCC Competitor, Derek Rose who made 2,378.2 HP and took 1st place on the dyno. Peterson went strong into the sled pull portion of the event and was able to make it 262.417 feet placing him in 4th place, only 4 feet shy of 3rd. Peterson and the T-Pain truck showed that they have what it takes to run with the UCC Competitors in 2019 and we are excited to see where he lands.
T-Pain is a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with an Industrial Injection Triple Turbo Shredder 5.9L Cummins, Cobra Fuel Injectors, Dual XP CP3 Pumps and a 48RE Transmission built by Randy’s Transmissions. Since Peterson earned his invite to UCC 2019 as a UCC Competitor t UCC 2018, he was competing this last summer to have fun, build HP and build relationships. Peterson was able to snag 1st place in the Unlimited Class on the Northwest Dyno Circuit dyno at Weekend on the Edge + UCC Qualifier Event in Salt Lake City, Utah for the second year in a row! Peterson also takes T-Pain to local tracks and other events to have some fun.
After we released the announcement about the UCC Qualifier portion of UCC, Peterson texted a few of his close buddies and it didn’t take long for them to decided he needed to enter T-Pain in the competition. We have enjoyed watching his truck perform and want to congratulate him on making it to UCC as a UCC Competitor. Peterson is supported by friends, family and these industry leaders; Industrial Injection Diesel Performance, Gillett Diesel Service, INC, Randy’s Transmissions, Breakout Tuning Solutions, Edge Products, Suncoast Performance, Yukon Gear and Axle, Gaylons Drive Line, and Ken Garff West Valley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. We are excited to see T-Pain bring some heat to the Ultimate Callout Challenge on May 3rd - 5th, 2019!
