Years ago when diesel performance was really making a climb, one name we have definitely heard of was Dmitri Millard. MIllard is one of the most known names in the diesel industry, especially dyno competitions. He’s competed in a pile of dyno events including the original Ultimate Callout Challenge back in 2016. After taking a year off to help some of his customers in the 17’ challenge, is coming back to compete once more. His 2003 regular cab Chevrolet, Katrina, will be on the track, rollers, and behind a sled soon. The spread of his name has not come easy as it’s come at a cost. Millard has always pushed the envelope on the Duramax engine platform, and that led to some of the highest horsepower numbers and fastest elapsed times at the dragstrip, but it also came with detonating engines across the concrete and just absolute carnage. But, with the help of Exergy Performance, Forbidden Fab, Full Pull Diesel, Goerend Transmission, Wagler Competition Products, and his crew at No Zone Diesel, he will push the performance limits at this years competition. Katrina will utilize a Wagler built Duramax engine that will be fueled by three Exergy 12mm CP3 high-pressure fuel pumps. The three CP3 pumps will be delivering all the fuel to a set of 500%-over stock fuel injectors. Matching the air to the fueling mods are a pair of massive compound turbochargers that are capable of easily 2,000-horsepower. All of this power is backed by a No Zone Diesel built Allison transmission. As a veteran of the industry, stay tuned to see what Dmitri brings to the table in this year’s competition.
